On Tuesday, our communities of Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and LeFrak City spoke loud and clear. They chose honesty, collaboration, and integrity. My heart is full of gratitude. Thank you to every voter who believed in our vision, every volunteer who knocked doors, made calls, texted neighbors, and showed up day after day, every donor who invested in a people-powered movement, and every union, organization, elected leader, and community partner who placed their trust in me. Together, we knocked on more than 50,000 doors, connected with thousands of neighbors, and proved that grassroots organizing can overcome division. In the face of attacks and misinformation, our community chose unity, compassion, and leadership that listens. This victory belongs to all of us—the supporters who wore campaign shirts, the families who welcomed us into their homes, the interns and fellows who gave their time, the labor movement that stood with working families, and the organizations that fought alongside us for a more affordable, just, and inclusive future. I am deeply honored by the trust you have placed in me to serve as your next State Senator. The campaign may be over, but our work together is only beginning. I look forward to partnering with residents, advocates, workers, small businesses, and community leaders to tackle the challenges facing our families and deliver the results our communities deserve. From the bottom of my heart: thank you. We did this together, and together we will build the future our neighbors deserve. 💙 by @votejgr
I joined @ny1 to talk about our grassroots victory for the State Senate. We knocked on 50,000+ doors and ran a positive, solution-focused campaign because Queens families deserve leaders who actually show up, listen, and deliver. This historic victory belongs to the people. It belongs to the most diverse coalition this district has ever seen. One powered by hundreds of volunteers, everyday neighbors, and zero corporate PAC money. We stayed focused on the issues that matter, from affordability and health care to protecting immigrant neighbors, and voters rewarded credibility over noise. Thank you for your trust, Queens. Every single community in this district spoke loud and clear. Now, let’s get to work! ✊🏽 by @votejgr
My story is the story of so many families in Queens. As the daughter of a working-class immigrant father and a Puerto Rican mother, I’ve spent my life fighting for the communities that raised me, from advocating for immigrant families and reproductive freedom to delivering for working people in the State Assembly. Now, I’m running for State Senate because our communities deserve leadership they trust that shows up, brings people together, and gets results. Watch this video to learn more about who I am, what I stand for, and why I’m fighting for Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and LeFrak City. by @votejgr
Join us in Brooklyn tomorrow at 6:30PM to support Georgia State Rep @ruwaromman running for State Senate. Ruwa is the first and only elected Palestinian in Georgia & progressive champion. Ruwa and I are sisters in a @voterunlead fellowship and she is amazing! ✊🏽 For four years, Representative Romman has tirelessly fought in the Georgia Legislature to take homes back from corporate landlords, lower utility rates, expand access to healthcare, and protect Georgians right to protest against injustice here and abroad all while building one of the best field operations in the state. 🚨 BREAKING: RESTAURANT WORKERS ARE SUING CHILI’S. Restaurant workers are taking on Brinker International, Chili’s parent company, in a class-action lawsuit, taking on the company’s sub minimum-wage practices that perpetuate racial discrimination and leave women vulnerable to sexual harassment. Here’s what’s at stake: Across America, tipped workers can still be paid a federal cash wage of just $2.13 an hour before tips — leaving workers dependent on customers for much of their income. Workers are speaking up about a system that leaves women vulnerable to harassment and allows racial bias to influence earnings, schedules, and access to better-paying shifts. Today, One Fair Wage joined workers, attorneys, and New York lawmakers outside federal court to call attention to the lawsuit and demand change. No worker should have to tolerate harassment or discrimination to earn a living. It’s time to end the tipped subminimum wage and guarantee every worker a full living wage, with tips on top. ¡Exigimos justicia, respeto y dignidad para todas! by @votejgr
It was wonderful to join @elmcor, fellow elected colleagues, and my neighbors in celebrating the incredible legacy of former Assembly Member Jeff Aubry! Jeff dedicated his career to public service, championing criminal justice reform and racial justice, including leading the charge to roll back the draconian Rockefeller drug laws. I included some bonus pictures from Shanel Thomas-Henry’s recent fundraiser. Thank you, Jeff, for your service, mentorship, and friendship. Grateful for you! 💕 —— ¡Fue un gusto acompañar a @ElmCor, a mis colegas electos y a mis vecinos para celebrar el increíble legado del exasambleísta Jeff Aubry!
